Metres’ collection of essays: “The sound of listening: poetry as refuge and resistance” is chock-full of resources for the practicing poet. Not a how to handbook, but a way/s of thinking about making poetry. published in 2018 by the University of Michigan press’ series ‘poets on poetry.’
Looking forward to "Reimagine the Past to Write the Future" with Keisha-Gaye Anderson; and "Radicalizing the Personal Essay or Narrative Poem with Lorde and Baldwin at the Helm" with JP Howard! Saturday September 8 and Sunday September 9, 2018.
